MAHADEVPUR, 5 Feb: NABARD Chairman GR Chintala inaugurated a rural haat here in Namsai district on Saturday, in the presence of MLA Jummum Ete Deori, DC RK Sharma, NABARD Itanagar RO GM Partho Saha, NABARD Namsai DDM Kamal Roy, and others.
“Marketing infrastructure for farmers, roadside small vendors, artisans and SHG members is crucial towards their income enhancement and welfare,” Chintala said.
He also inspected the NABARD-funded flood protection project in Silatoo.
Chintala, who was on a four-day visit to the state, left for Mumbai on Saturday.
