SANGTI, 6 Feb: Three black-necked cranes that had migrated from Tibet-China to Sangti valley in West Kameng district in November last year are still in Sangti valley.
This is the longest that black-necked cranes have stayed in the area. Earlier, in 2020, black-necked cranes had stayed here only for seven days. The current development is a result of the initiative of the locals, homestay owners and tour operators.
Earlier, the West Kameng forest department had organized a meeting and urged the locals to cooperate in ensuring less tourist interference near these birds.
