ITANAGAR, 7 Feb: A total of 141 projects worth Rs 1,544.75 crores sanctioned under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources-State (NLCPR-State) scheme in Arunachal Pradesh have been completed till 31 January this year, while the implementation of 66 projects is at various stages, DoNER Minister G Kishan Reddy said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Monday.

In total, 207 projects worth Rs 2,484.01 crores were sanctioned for Arunachal under the scheme till it was replaced by the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) in 2017-18, Reddy said.

Further, the expenditure under the NLCPR-State scheme is now being made for ongoing projects only to meet committed liabilities as per reported actual progress, without specific budgetary allocation of funds, he said.

Replying to another question, Reddy said that the department for promotion of industry and internal trade has recognized 674 startups from the eight NE states, out which eight are from Arunachal.

Meanwhile, MoS for Defence Ajay Bhatt told the Rajya Sabha on Monday that girl cadets have been admitted in all the existing 33 Sainik Schools.

“A total of 312 girl cadets have been admitted in Class 6 in the existing 33 Sainik Schools, including 10 in the Sainik School in East Siang district, with effect from the academic session 2021-2022,” Bhatt said, replying to a question from Brij Lal in the Upper House of Parliament. (PIB)
