One Covid-related death on Monday, toll at 292

ITANAGAR, 7 Feb: A 65-year-old woman passed away from acute respiratory distress syndrome with Covid pneumonia on Monday.

This is the 292nd Covid-related death in the state.

The patient, who had osteoporosis, had shown symptoms of cough and fever and tested positive for Covid through RAT at the RK Mission Hospital here on 29 January. She was later referred to the dedicated Covid hospital in Chimpu on 5 February, where she passed away on 7 January at around 2:30 am.

At the same time, the state reported 139 cases of Covid-19 on Monday, of whom 78 are symptomatic.

Papum Pare reported the highest positivity rate of 80 percent, followed by 50 percent in Dibang Valley and Siang, and 16.7 percent in Lower Siang. The ICR registered a positivity rate of 6 percent.
