ITANAGAR, 7 Feb: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein held a meeting with the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) North Eastern Region Director Sanjeev Singha and his team of senior RBI officials here on Monday in connection with setting up a sub-office of the RBI in Itanagar.
The central bank of the country will be leveraging its operations in Arunachal Pradesh, especially in terms of financial inclusion, literacy and awareness programmes, through the new sub-office.
Mein assured the RBI officer of full cooperation from the state government for early establishment of the sub-office here.
PHE&WS Minister Wangki Lowang, Planning Commissioner Prashant Lokhande, Finance Secretary YW Ringu, Guwahati RBI Deputy General Manager Saba Shaikh, AGMs Ritesh Kumar and Nabin Khakhlary, and Manager Nimeet Kr Garg were also present at the meeting. (DCM’s PR Cell)
