BASAR, 11 Feb: The ICAR’s NE regional centre (RC) here in Leparada district organized a hands-on training programme for farmers from Sago, Sadi, Gori, Nyigam and Tirbin villages at the ICAR’s research farm in Gori on Friday.
Thirty improved crossbreed piglets of the Yorkshire breed, along with feeds, supplements and veterinary medicines were distributed among the farmers during the programme, which was also attended by Basar ZPM Minken Basar and ICAR RC Director Dr H Kalita.
Veterinary extension education scientist Dr Doni Jini delivered a lecture on ‘Improved management of pigs for optimum production’.
