DAPORIJO, 11 Feb: Panchayat members and officials of line departments of Upper Subansiri and Kamle districts are participating in a programme themed ‘Block level training foundation-cum-functional training on PR system’ through the SPICE model for devolution of powers to the panchayati raj institutions (PRI) of the state, being held here in Upper Subansiri district from 10 February to 6 March.
The programme, being conducted by the State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), is aimed at looking into “the constitutional mandates of the PRIs under the concept on SPICE mode, GPDP, DPDP and the district planning committee and on Sustainable Development Goals,” the DIPRO informed in a release.
Addressing the participants, Upper Subansiri DC Mika Nyori and ZPC Nyato Marde urged them to take full advantage of the programme.
SIRD&PR Assistant Director Tamar Baki presented a brief on the SPICE model of devolution of powers to the PRIs, “including all related topics pertaining to the successful working under the model,” and explained the process of GPDP planning, the DIPRO stated.
