Org serves 15 days ultimatum to state govt

ITANAGAR, 23 Feb:  The All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Organization (AAPYO) has served a 15 days’ ultimatum to the state government seeking fulfillment of their demands.

In its letter submitted to the chief minister on Wednesday, the organization stated that it will be compelled to resort to democratic action if the government fails to fulfill its 18-point demand within the stipulated time.

Their demands include; honorarium for Puroik Welfare Board office bearers; lifting of entry restriction to civil secretariat; white paper on total Covid-19 funds allocated by Government of India; facilitation of  public darshan once a month; exclusion of Class-I &-Il contractors from the purview of District Based Entrepreneurship Act, 2015; amendment of Unlawful Act 2014; creation of

a full-fledged department of border affairs to solve inter-state boundary issue; shifting of chief engineer’s office from Tawang to Itanagar Capital Region; widening of Chandranagar-Papu Nallah four-lane (NH-415) with  provision for parking lots and repeal of Staff Selection Board (SSB) Act, 2018, etc.
