YACHULI, 25 Feb: DIA & Cultural Affairs Minister Taba Tedir inaugurated the Nyokum namlos in Joram, Dem, Talo and Yazali in Lower Subansiri district on 23 and 24 February.
Funded by the department of indigenous affairs (DIA), the Nyokum namlos were constructed by the urban development & housing department’s Ziro division.
“Such infrastructures will provide a platform for the people to display, practice and preserve our rich culture and traditions,” the minister said.
Among others, Lower Subansiri ZPC Likha Sanchore, Yachuli ADC Toko Bapu, ZPMs Gem Taje, Likha Tabo and Nabam Puji, and UD EE Nich Jacob were present at the inauguration functions. (DIPRO)
