NYKS conducts State Youth Parliament

ITANAGAR, 25 Feb: Sangi Tayang from Lohit district, Oyin Komboh from Upper Siang district and Rubu Sunya from Lower Subansiri district have been shortlisted to represent Arunachal Pradesh at the National Youth Parliament 2022 being organized by the union youth affairs ministry for youths aged 18 to 25 years from 14 February to 9 March.

The trio was shortlisted following the State Youth Parliament 2022 held by the state unit of the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) through the virtual mode from Bank Tinali here on Friday.

Addressing the virtual gathering, state NYKS director Inkhuanguang said that there are numerous challenges confronting the country and the youths being the future of the country cannot shy away from their responsibilities in nation-building.

“Such competition gives the youth a platform to participate and contribute towards nation-building,” he said.

The jury members for Friday’s parliament were Dr Md Asghar (assistant professor, anthropology department, RGU), Yomjum Yomgam (chairman, Young Mission Adventure Club), Jummo Potom (social development expert, urban development department), John Gaingamlung Gangmei (assistant professor, RGU) and Chongneithem Lhouvum (production head, CDCN).
