Ozakho village donates locally-made dustbins

LONGDING, 12 Mar: Residents of Ozakho village in Chubam circle of Longding district donated and installed 100 locally-made dustbins in the entire Longding township area and government office premises.

Longding DC Bani Lego, who inaugurated the dustbin installation programme, commended the efforts of Ozakho village towards keeping the district clean.

“Such positive initiatives should encourage others to come forward to keep the district clean and hygienic,” he said.

Ozakho GPC Wangjem Wangsu informed that the dustbins have been made with bamboo by the villagers “under the theme of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

“The dustbins are detachable. Once the waste is accumulated, the waste can be disposed of and the dustbins can be reinstalled and reused,” he said. (DIPRO)
