ITANAGAR, 13 Mar: The Arunachal Powerlifting Association (APA) has selected four players for the National Bench Press, Deadlift and Powerlifting Championship (equipped and unequipped) to be held in Surat, Gujarat, from 16 to 20 March.
The athletes are Katbang Bayang, Ongbem Mossang, Bamin Talu and Marjom Ete.
While Bayang (56 kg) will compete in the senior men’s deadlift event, Mossang (56 kg) will compete in the same event in the junior category.
Talu (55 kg) will take part in the junior men’s full powerlifting event and Ete will compete in both full powerlifting and deadlift events in the junior 67.5 kg category, APA vice president Techi Joram Tara said in a release.
