Pasighat-Pangin road partially restored

PASIGHAT, 29 May: The road communication between Pasighat and Pangin was restored partially on Sunday evening, and a few stranded vehicles were allowed to pass on the day.

Movement across the block point will be allowed for an hour from 12 noon until the road is restored completely.

East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, accompanied by SP Sumit Kr Jha and engineers of the highway division and the NHIDCL on Sunday visited the block point near Kala-Mati, a few kilometres from here.

The DC directed the personnel of Puna-Hinda Construction to “put all efforts to clear the block point immediately, so

that stranded vehicles with essential commodities and patients may cross the block point.”

The road communication between Pasighat and Pangin was disrupted after a heavy landslide blocked it on the midnight of 23 May. (DIPRO)
