PONGCHAU, 5 Jun: A cleanliness drive was organised in the market area here in Longding district by the Pongchau Students’ Union (PSU), with the support of the bazaar committee, on Saturday.
Members of the PSU and the Pongchau Bazaar Committee, along with students, shopkeepers and public cleared the garbage littered around the market area, made a proper drainage system, and repaired a damaged drain.
PSU president Puman Wangsa, general secretary Angam Wangsu and social services secretary Matphung Naam emphasised the need to limit the use of plastic.
