DC calls for suspending bills unless guidelines are met

AALO, 9 Jun: West Siang DC Penga Tato requested all the executing agencies “not to release the final bills of the projects until and unless the contractors or firms comply with the guidelines of the government.”

Chairing a meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee here on Thursday, Tato also asked the agencies constructing the Aalo stadium to “maintain minimum labour force for early completion of the much-awaited stadium of Aalo town,” pointing out that the “present labour force is not sufficient for such a huge project.”

ZPC Babom Romin, Yomcha ADC Hento Karga, Kamba ADC Rujjum Raksap, ZPMs, and executive engineers of all works departments attended the meeting.

The administrative officers requested the executing departments to issue “one sanction order of various schemes of the respective administrative jurisdiction for quality and timely completion and monitoring of the schemes.”

The ZPMs urged the executing agencies to instruct the contractors to maintain quality of work, ensure timely completion of projects, and strictly follow the tender agreements.

Highway AE Gemar Padu informed that work under Package 8 of the Trans-Arunachal Highway project “is in advanced stage,” and that work under Package 9 is in progress.

The DC directed the chief manager of the SBI’s Aalo branch to “release the amounts of subsidy schemes without any hindrances by following the codal formalities for the benefit of the beneficiaries.”

The ZPC and District Planning Officer Marjum Karga also spoke. (DIPRO)
