TAWANG, 14 Jun: Tawang DC KN Damo said that “the national tricolour will be hoisted at every household and building, irrespective of private or government, from 9 August onwards in the district” as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Chairing a meeting to discuss the actions taken under Amrit Sarovar, Har Ghar Tiranga, Nasha Mukti Pakhwada, Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan, International Yoga Day and de-addiction programme, the DC asked the departments concerned to expedite the works and submit the reports to the DPDO.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Indian Army and paramilitary forces, administrative officers, HoDs, PRI members, GBs and members of three market welfare committees.
Commending the villagers and HoDs who recently uprooted wild cannabis in their villages and administrative circles, he said that “we should continue uprooting these drugs to protect our younger generations from the ill-effects of its consumption.”
He also warned the public against the menace of synthetic drugs.
Tawang EAC Choiki Dondup informed that 30 percent of the water bodies in the district are to be geotagged immediately and uploaded to the MIS, “and the rest 70 percent by March 2023.”
ADC (HQ) Lobsang Tsering and Tawang ZPM Tsering Dorjee raised the issue of proper waste disposal in the district headquarters. (DIPRO)
