The meeting was attended by all the ZPMs and HoDs of line departments.
The ZPC expressed appreciation for the government over the devolution of powers to the PRI members and said that “it will go a long way in empowering the panchayat leaders to perform well and bring qualitative changes at the grassroots level.”
“The onus is on us to implement it in letter and spirit with the help of the line departments for overall welfare of the people,” Bablu said.
Reiterating the need to maintain transparency and accountability, he urged the HoDs to cooperate with the panchayat members “in bridging the gap of communication between PRI and the line departments and working for better development of the district and the state as a whole.”

ZPMs from Kimin, Kakoi, Banderdewa, Leporiang, Toru and other areas stressed on sharing information and involving the panchayat leaders in decision-making and selecting beneficiaries under the central and state flagship programmes.
