MIAO, 23 Jun: The ADC here in Changlang district has issued an order instructing the owners of horses roaming freely in the town to confine the animals within 10 days or face legal action for causing nuisance, posing a threat to the pedestrians, especially children, disrupting traffic, and causing accidents.
Citing instances of stray horses destroying crops in M’Pen-2 village, the executive order strictly directed the owners to ensure that they confine their horses within 10 days.
The order directed the OC and the veterinary officer here to “formulate steps for confinement of the stray horses in question on expiry of 10 days and thereafter submit a report on or before 23 June.”
