Min inaugurates projects in Deomali

DEOMALI, 2 Jul: PHE&WS Minister Wangki Lowang inaugurated four government infrastructure here in Tirap district, in the presence of government officers, panchayat leaders, chiefs, GBs and others, on Saturday.

The four projects are the sub-treasury office in Deomali, a police barrack at the Dirok gate, and two 25-metre span bridges on the PMGSY road from Mopaya to Kenon.

Lowang said that the people of Deomali, Mopaya and Kenon would benefit greatly from the projects. He further said that the police personnel deployed at the Dirok gate can be well accommodated in the barrack.

On his way to the Dirok gate, the minister visited the government primary school in Mopaya.

Responding to a public memorandum, the minister announced Rs 50 lakhs for construction of two RCC classrooms, besides toilet and bathroom facilities, for the students.

Tirap DC Taro Mize, SP Kardak Riba, RWD EE Nending Bath, and ZPMs Wangphoon Lowang and Samsik Korok also spoke. (DIPRO)
