RONO HILLS, 5 Jul: A two-day online lecture series on ‘Official language Hindi and computing’, organised by the Hindi cell of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), concluded here on Tuesday.
The theme of the lecture series was ‘Introduction to the latest techniques of science to make Hindi easy and accessible on computer’.
Earlier, addressing the inaugural session, RGU Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha said that “Hindi is a major communicating language in Arunachal Pradesh,” and added that the lecture series was “a combination of technique and language, where one can learn easily assessable technology for the development of language.”
Microsoft (local languages & accessibility) director Balendu Sharma Dhadhich delivered a lecture on ‘Microsoft and official language Hindi’. He said that “technical skills are the keys that bring the whole world under one umbrella.”
Senior Hindi Officer of IIT Kharagpur, Dr Rajiv Kr Rawat, delivered a lecture on ‘Hindi and computing’. He said that “technology has developed many scientific tools and techniques to develop Hindi.” He also made a presentation on the “latest tools and websites by which one can make Hindi more accessible.”
RGU Registrar Dr NT Rikam also spoke.
