PASIGHAT, 12 Sep: Members of the Green Squad (GS), along with members of the Swach Siluk Abhiyan and the Pasighat Central Solung Festival Celebration Committee-22 on Monday carried out a ‘recycling drive’ at the Gidii Notko ground here in East Siang district.
The team collected 256 kgs of plastic bottles and other recyclable items and sent them to the Material Recovery Facility Centre for recycling.
The GS has for a long time been taking up end-to-end waste management projects, collecting rejected goods from the neighbourhoods. It is best known for waste segregation and management in East Siang district.
The festival celebration committee commended the efforts of the GS and felicitated its members with certificates of appreciation. (DIPRO)
