DOIMUKH, 18 Sep: Doimukh ZPM Techi Rakap inaugurated a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) laboratory at the government higher secondary school here on Saturday, in the presence of Papum Pare DC Sachin Rana, PD (i/c) Nikita Panggam, DPO Lokam Chayu, and others.
The STEM lab, which is aimed at empowering the students with hands-on skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, was set up with money from the DC’s untied fund, and implemented by the DRDA.
The DC informed that two more such labs will be established in the district soon.
“These labs are multidisciplinary and will assist in enhancing the scientific temperament in the children and make them understand the practical applications of the concepts that they study within the classrooms,” he said, adding that “an instructor from Delhi-based STEM lab has been roped in to provide training and supervise the lab for a year.”
The ZPM advised the students to “avail the lab facilities.” (DIPRO)
