Tirap police organise ‘dinner pe charcha’ prog

KHONSA, 5 Jan: The Tirap police organised a ‘dinner pe charcha’ programme here on Sunday to belatedly mark the Arunachal Pradesh Police’s (APP) 50 years of service.

Tirap DC Hento Karga, along with officers of the district administration, HoDs, panchayat leaders led by ZPC Chatong Lowang, personnel and officers of the 36 Bn Assam Rifles, and public and youth leaders joined the belated celebration.

The DC congratulated the APP, especially the Tirap police, and urged them to “take the challenge of making Arunachal Pradesh, especially Tirap district, a peaceful place and create an atmosphere conducive for development to take place in rapid phase.”

The ZPC also congratulated the APP, and urged them to “work tirelessly to make the society crime-free and uphold the police-public relations.”

Public leader Hangliam Sumnyan also spoke.

SP Kardak Riba gave assurance that the APP would strive hard to bring peace in the region “with the active help of the SFs and CAPF’s.” (DIPRO)
