DOIMUKH, 10 Apr: Villagers and social workers were imparted training in various risk reduction steps like CPR, flood rescue, stretcher, ‘how to use fire extinguisher’, etc, during a workshop on pre- and post-disaster management, organised at Lekha village here on Sunday by NGO Hope and Shine Society, under the patronage of its director Tob Naso, it said in a release.
Resource persons included Inspector Rahul Ranjan Kumar of the NDRF and four other expert trainers from the NDRF.
“The event had been conceptualised in order for village people to develop an understanding of community participation on firsthand response by providing a platform to actively interact with the response team of NDRF,” the NGO said.
