Tedir lays foundation stone of NCC complex

PASIGHAT, 21 Jul: Education Minister Taba Tedir on Friday laid the foundation stone of a composite National Cadet Corps (NCC) complex at 2 Mile near here in East Siang district, in the presence of local MLA Kaling Moyong, DC Tayi Taggu, and others.

Tedir informed that the project, amounting to Rs 15 crore, has already been sanctioned by the state government, and asked the executing agency to ensure “quality and on-time completion of the project.”

Pasighat-based 22 AP Bn NCC Commanding Officer, Lt Col MS Nijjar, briefed the minister on the NCC activities undertaken under his jurisdiction.

The 22 AP Bn NCC here is the oldest and the largest NCC unit in Arunachal Pradesh. It was established in 1964 at JN College (JNC) here.

Secondary Education Director Marken Kadu, JNC Principal Dr Tasi Taloh, and DDSE Odhuk Tabing, among others, attended the programme. (DIPRO)
