CHANGLANG, 2 Aug: In response to public complaints regarding teachers of various government schools under Changlang district not attending their duties regularly, the Changlang deputy commissioner’s office probationer Md. Shabir, conducted a surprise inspection of three government primary schools of New Thamlom, Kengkhu and Rangkatu under Changlang North on 31 July last.
During the inspection, these schools were found to be non-functional with students and teachers remaining absent during the school hours.
Following submission of IAS probationer Md. Shabir’s report, the deputy commissioner Sunny K. Singh directed the deputy director of school education to hold up the pay of PRT Renpe Zongsam, TGT & headmaster incharge Chinlop Haisa, PRT Sengpa Haisa and TGT (ISSE) Yamnang Haisa (all from government primary school, Kengkhu).
The deputy commissioner has directed the DDSE to initiate process for termination of TGT Yamnang Haisa. The four teachers have also been suspended on spot for remaining absent during school hours without authorization.
The DDSE has also been directed to show cause the errant teachers as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against them as per service rules and guidelines.
The payment for mid-day meal and all other government schemes against the said schools have also been suspended till further order.
Meanwhile, Miao ADC Ibom Tao also made similar inspections at Miao Singpho government primary school, town upper primary school and upper primary school, Upper Miao on Wednesday during which he directed the teachers to remain dedicated, punctual and work hard to bring good results.
