RRU organises orientation prog

PASIGHAT, 5 Sep: The Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) here in East Siang district organised an orientation programme for the new academic batch of the university on Monday.

The day marked the commencement of the master’s, bachelor’s, postgraduate, and diploma courses of the university here, as well as of the other two campuses of the RRU, in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

RRU Vice Chancellor Dr Bimal N Patel, who attended the event virtually from Gujarat, welcomed the new batch, and emphasised the importance of “opting for a solution-orientated approach, rather than an on-paper approach.”

“RRU is led to become a global leader in the field of internal security,” he said, and added that “the students coming on board should seize the opportunity to dig deeper into the knowledge and concept of the domain.”

Dr Patel also encouraged the RRU here to “upskill the students with different foreign languages, aiding the students in their specific domains,” and to “focus on research-based activities for the training of the students.”

Following the online orientation programme, the campus director and heads of departments of the RRU here took turns familiarising the students with the vision of the campus and their role in turning the vision into reality.

They advised the students to remain motivated against all odds.
