PASIGHAT, 23 Sep: The East Siang District Health Society (DHS), in collaboration with Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) here, organised a ‘health mela’ in Mebo as a part of the Ayushman Bhava campaign on Saturday.
Altogether 482 registered patients were provided with medical services for various ailments, including surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, paediatric, ultrasonography, and dental service.
ID cards generation under PMJAY, CMAAY, ABHA and NCD/TB screening, saans bahu sammelan, FP counselling, etc, were also part of the camp.
Meanwhile, continuing the Ayushman Bhava Seva Phakwada, a voluntary blood donation drive was organised by BPGH and the Tasi Panggeng CHC (FRU), in collaboration with BROS (a social group of likeminded individuals from Bilat, Ruksin and Oyan-Sille) and the Legong Banggo Students’ Union, at the Ruksin FRU on 22 September. Eighteen units of blood were collected.
The drive was initiated to maintain the buffer stock of blood units at BPGH and the newly commissioned blood storage unit at the Ruksin FRU. (DIPRO)
