Inter-school U-17 Football Tourney
DOIMUKH, 12 Oct: Government higher secondary school (GHSS), Doimukh emerged the winner of the first Inter-school U-17 Football Tournament for the government schools of Papum Pare district in the boys’ category, after defeating government secondary school (GSS), Mani by 2-1 goals in the final match played at the Rono ground here on Thursday.
In the girls’ category, GSS Karsingsa defeated GHSS Doimukh in a penalty shootout by 3-1 goals.
Tadar Olay and Toko Yalu of GSS Karsingsa were adjudged the best player and the best goalkeeper, respectively.
In the boys’ category, Yab Haad Camdir of GHSS Doimukh and Gichik Diklu of GSS Mani were adjudged the best goalkeeper and the best player of the tournament, respectively.
Papum Pare DDSE TT Tara gave away the prizes to the winners.
