ITANAGAR, 21 Feb: Governor K.T Parnaik presented the State Awards and the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for 2023 during a function in the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday.
The Gold Medal awardees were the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), RK Mission (Arunachal Pradesh), Deepak Nabam Living Home, border affairs secretary Rajeev Takuk, senior medical officer Dr. S.K Singh, Oju Welfare Association chairperson Ratan Anya, the Mission ‘Har Shikhar Tiranga’ led by Dirang (West Kameng)-based National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports, and the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Arunachal Pradesh Trust.
The Silver Medal recipients were Chongkham (Namsai)-based NGO Mahila Welfare Society, EAC Dr. Maray Nanom Taloh, executive engineer Tumken Ete, SMO Dr. Dilip Dutta, Lazu PS OC sub-inspector Sheychin Chena, aviation officer Malin Majumdar, leading fireman Bape Gamlin, constable Abi Tekseng, constable Chatung Taffo Sonam, circle officer Oyam Saring, inspector Ongsa Ronrang, sub-inspector Lomman Kimsing, public interpreter Yachang Tacho, social worker Kennedy Bagra, IPR directorate’s photographic officer in-charge Manoj Bhattacharjee, leading fireman Karto Zirdo, constable Jonai Wangnow and constable Prakash Newar.
The Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration were awarded to rural development department for ‘ArSRLM’ (Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission), water resource department for the ‘multipurpose water conservation project’, health & family welfare department for ‘drone for social impact, ‘medicine from the sky,’ the office of the Lower Dibang Valley deputy commissioner for ‘improving urban space and improving maternal and child health,’ the office of the tax, excise and narcotics commissioner for e-Abkari project and IT and communication department for implementation of 22 e-governance projects under year of e-Governance 2022-23.
The Governor congratulated all the awardees and conveyed his good wishes to them. He said that the deeds of the awardees will inspire their peers and other citizens in the state.
