APSLSA appoints legal aid counsel for Mohimang Litin

ITANAGAR, 29 Jul: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), following a request from the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS), has appointed a legal aid counsel for Mohimang Litin, the mother of late Olip Litin Mukherjee.

Mukherjee was allegedly beaten to death in Serene Foundation Rehab Centre in Pasighat recently.

The APWWS thanked APSLSA member secretary Yomge Ado for taking prompt action to appoint the legal aid counsel for the aggrieved mother.

“We believe that providing Mohimang Litin with legal aid is crucial to ensure that she receives the justice she is seeking for her son. The loss of her son has been a devastating blow, and we hope that the legal support will help her navigate the challenges she faces,” the APWWS president Kani Nada Maling said in a release.

On 27 July, a team of the APWWS met Mohimang Litin at her residence in Rani village in Pasighat and assured her of all support in delivering justice for her dead son.
