PASIGHAT, 16 Aug: Pasighat (East Siang)-based NGO AYANG organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) here on Friday, under its ‘Har Ghar Raktdata (Blood Donor from Every Household)’ campaign.
East Siang Joint Director of Health Services Dr T Tali inaugurated the programme in the presence of the blood bank staffers and nurses of the hospital.

Aini Taloh, popularly known as Ayii, said that AYANG has adopted the motto ‘Har Ghar Raktdata’to promote voluntary blood donation and to increase the number of voluntary blood donors.
AYANG has organised several voluntary blood donation camps in the past and has bagged a number of awards and commendations from the state and the central governments.
BPGH Blood Bank Officer Dr D Modi informed that a total of 14 youth volunteers, including two women,participated in the programme, during which 10 units of blood were collected.
