Bamboosa Library celebrates Int’l Literacy Day

TEZU, 9 Sep: “NGOs can play a big role in spreading literacy and improving education of the masses. Hence volunteers like you in Bamboosa Library deserve the heartiest appreciation,” said Tezu Airport AGM (CNS) Santosh Kumar Sinha during the International Literacy Day (ILD) celebration at Bamboosa Library here in Lohit district on Sunday.

Sinha delivered a talk on ‘Career opportunities in airport & airline services’ before a large number of students, teachers and youths.

“The aviation industry is not only based on technical advancements, but is highly people-centric. Hence, there are ample opportunities for interested and committed youths in the aviation industry.

“The four wings of civil aviation are airport, aircraft, airlines, and meteorology, which provide vital minute-to-minute accurate weather details to the aircraft and the pilots,” he said.

Lauding the Bamboosa Library readers for their enthusiasm, self-confidence and curiosity to learn more, he said that “the example of library volunteer Laxmi Ngadong, the first Mishmi lady to become an airhostess, should inspire more Arunachal youths to join the aviation sector.”
