ITANAGAR, 17 Nov: A team of Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association (APDA) CEC headed by its president Dr. K. Perme visited Seppa hospital on Friday in connection with the horrific incident that occurred on Thursday.
During a consultative meeting with district administration, leaders of NGOs at mini secretariat, the APDA team highlighted some focus points before DC and SP for immediate redressal, like closing of multiple entry and exit points, deployment of security personnel and prohibition of carrying weapon in hospital premises, etc.
In order to mitigate unprecedented incident in future the team also cited AP Protection of Medical Service Personnel and Medical Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss of Property) Act 2019, need for strengthening ambulance services, establishment of blood storage center, posting of specialists etc.
The team also expressed their solidarity and lauded the doctors and paramedical workers for their brave encounter and advised them to keep up the spirit. The team also expressed gratitude to district administration and police department for swift action.
The meeting was attended, among others, by local MLA Ealing Tallang, DC Himanshu Nigam, SP Kamdam Sikom, East Kameng Social Welfare Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) chairman R. Flago, according to APDA release.
