APAKA karatekas win 6 medals on final day of KIO All India Sub-Junior National Karate Championship

ITANAGAR, 15 Dec: The karatekas of Arunachal Pradesh Amateur Karate-Do Association (APAKA) won six medals, including three gold, one silver and two bronze, on the concluding day of the KIO All India Sub-Junior National Karate Championship-2024 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, on Sunday.

Nido Jirnia, Vaishnavi Chauhan and Jon Mara won a gold medal each, while the silver medal was secured by Zenith Mize.

Jirnia won her medal in the girls’ +52 kg individual kumite in the 13 years category, while Chauhan won in the girls’ below 25 kg individual kumite in the 8 years category. Mara won in the boys’ 7 years below +25 kg individual kumite.

Mize won the silver medal in the girls’ 12 years individual kumite in +52 kg category.

Eshana Ngadong (-42 kg) and Tanisi Appa (-40 kg) won the bronze medals in the girls’ individual kumite in the age category of 13 years and 11 years, respectively.
