Assam down town University hosts ‘Campus to Corporate’ interaction session

ITANAGAR, 13 Jun: The Assam down town University (AdtU), a pioneer in career-centric education in Northeast India, hosted its signature industry engagement event, ‘Campus to Corporate’,in Itanagar on Friday. Over 180 students from diverse academic backgrounds attended it.

In his opening remarks, AdtU Dean Dr TVVLN Raoemphasized the importance of bridging academia with the rapidly evolving demands of the professional world.

Arunachal Pradesh Hydropower Development Corporation Chairman Toko Onuj said that one should be focused in the corporate sector. He encouraged the students to “dare to dream, followed with action in one’s own personal lives.”

The CM’s adviser Tai Tagak, APMC Vice Chairman Tadar Akap, and others also attended the event, which featured four sessions.

AdtU Commerce and Management Assistant Professor Dr Bishal Bhuyan dwelt on emerging trends in commerce and management, while AdtU Computer Science and Technology Assistant Professor Dr Gunikhan Sonowal spoke about artificial intelligence and computer technology, and AdtU Engineering Department Dean Dr Raoexplored smart engineering and industrial integration. AdtU International Affairs Director (i/c) Satyabrat Sarma elaborated the university’s internationalization initiatives.

A special highlight was the felicitation of meritorious Class 10 and 12 students from Arunachal Pradesh who scored 70% and above. Students also engaged in an interactive panel session, received guidance from faculty counsellors, and were awarded certificates of participation.

With over 1,500 students from Arunachal currently studying at AdtU, the university continues to foster strong academic and cultural ties with the state, it said in a release.
