NAHARLAGUN, 9 Aug: Thirty students participated in a two-month-long pottery workshop organised by the union Textiles Ministry, through the office of the union handicrafts development commissioner and the Itanagar handicrafts centre, in collaboration with Naharlagun-based Studio 3103.
The workshop, which was conducted by ceramic artist Karter Lombi under the National Handicrafts Development Scheme, concluded on Saturday at Studio 3103 in E Sector here.
Trade Development Officer Chau Myaseng C Thoomten and nodal officer of the state Health Department Dr KM Lombi attended the valedictory function. Handicraft Promotion Officer of the Handicraft Service Centre, Itanagar, Mibin Dirchi was also present.
Thoomten in his speech said that “new ideas are welcome and the pottery market has a bright future.”
The students were felicitated with course completion certificates. Kibbom Yomcha, Doken Ete, Bagam Bomjen and Imen Lombi were adjudged the best students.
