HAWAI, 23 Sep: The progress of various centrally-sponsored schemes and state flagship programmes being implemented across Anjaw district was reviewed during a District Level Monitoring Committee meeting held here on Tuesday.
Anjaw Deputy Commissioner Millo Kojin, who chaired the meeting, called for better coordination among departments, as well as involvement of PRI members and community participation to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the grassroots.
During the meeting, officials from line departments made detailed presentations on the status of projects, highlighting achievements as well as challenges faced in projects’ execution.
The DC stressed on the need for timely completion of developmental projects, strict adherence to quality parameters, and proper utilisation of funds. He also directed the departments to ensure regular field monitoring, transparency, and submission of utilisation certificates on time.
Key issues, such as infrastructure gaps, road connectivity, health and education services, agriculture and horticulture development, and welfare schemes for farmers were also discussed. (DIPRO)
