TEZU, 23 Sep: More than 330 entrepreneurs from Lohit, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Anjaw, and Namsai districts took part an investment and entrepreneurship workshop for Cluster-2 under UNNATI 2024 and other programmes, organised by the District Industries Centre (DIC) at the Amik Ringya Hall here in Lohit district on Tuesday.

The participants were sensitized to flagship schemes such as UNNATI-2024, APIDIP-2025, PMFME, and PM Vishwakarma, designed to promote industrial development and self-employment.

Resource persons and consultants made detailed technical presentations on the schemes. They assured entrepreneurs of continuous handholding and technical support, from registration to implementation, so that genuine ventures could flourish across the five districts.

Lohit Deputy Commissioner Kesang Ngurup Damo, addressing the gathering, underlined the critical role of entrepreneurship in building both the state and the nation’s economy.

He emphasized that government jobs cannot be provided to everyone and excessive dependence on them would only worsen the employment challenge. He urged the youths to instead make use of skill development and training opportunities provided under various government schemes.

The DC stressed that entrepreneurship not only generates livelihoods but also strengthens the socioeconomic fabric of Arunachal Pradesh.

Industries Director Gyabo Pertin encouraged the entrepreneurs to actively engage in the workshop to understand and leverage the schemes for their businesses.

Industries Joint Director Goli Angu provided a comprehensive overview of the schemes, explaining eligibility, benefits, and processes.

Tezu ZPM Balong Tindya in his remarks said that the efforts of the DIC would empower youths and local entrepreneurs to play a meaningful role in regional growth.

Sunpura ZPM Angelu Chaitom was also present at the workshop. (DIPRO)
