ITANAGAR, 3 Feb: State BJP president Kaling Moyong on Tuesday felicitated the newly elected zilla parishad chairpersons (ZPCs) and zilla parishad members (ZPMs) of the party, and distributed appointment letters to the newly appointed state office bearers of the BJP Kisan Morcha at a city hotel here.

Addressing the gathering, Moyong emphasised the need for dedicated and committed efforts to further strengthen the party at the grassroots level. He lauded the remarkable performance of the BJP Kisan Morcha in the recent local body elections, stating that, among the five frontal morchas of the state BJP, the Kisan Morcha achieved significant success by electing seven ZPMs and one ZPC from Namsai.

The state BJP president also hailed the recent India-US trade agreement, describing it as “a major milestone following the India-EU deal.” He said that the agreement would bring substantial benefits to Indian farmers and the MSME sector, while further strengthening India’s global standing and economic influence.

He appealed to all stakeholders not to politicise the agreement, emphasising that it is in the larger interest of national development and nation-building.

Moyong was accompanied by state BJP vice president Zingnu Namchoom, Dunguli Libang, Tarh Soping, Taying Shakuntala, Higam Loyi Ango, and state GJP general secretary Junty Singpho, among other office bearers.

Namchoom and state BJP Kisan Morcha president Gumsen Lollen also spoke.
