DOIMUKH, 21 Feb: The second edition of Jazinja: Angba-Binbga, a community-based event, commenced at the Rono ground here in Papum Pare district on Saturday.

The event is being organised by JAZIN-JA, a cultural society with RGU Hindi HoD Prof Joram Yalam Nabam as its chairperson and faculty members from various colleges of the state as members.

Founded in 2021, the society upholds its guiding motto: ‘Tracing roots, inspiring paths; prakrati, purvaj aur pragya’.

In the Nyishi dialect, the term ‘Angba-Bingba’ reflects the indigenous idea of journeying and communicating together, emphasising participation and community spirit.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Doimukh MLA Nabam Vivek and MP Nabam Rebia, along with heads of departments, senior officials, professors, and faculty members from Arunachal Pradesh University, Rajiv Gandhi University, and nearby colleges, as well as members of the public, students, and scholars.

The first day featured an engaging interview session with local writer Tob Tarin Tara, principal of government higher secondary school, Kimin and MP Nabam Rebia, who shared insights into indigenous identity, education, cultural preservation, and the role of state-level initiatives in empowering youths and communities.
