PUGING, Dec 18: Panchayat members, gaon burahs, women groups and residents of Puging village benefited from a legal awareness camp organised here by the Upper Siang District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Monday.
The participants were sensitized to the schemes available under legal aid services and various provisions of the law.
DLSA Organising Secretary, Oson Mibang, spoke about the schemes available under the legal aid services, while advocates Dubom Tekseng, Kabang Taron and Oyem Panyang spoke on women’s rights, the Consumer Protection Act, the Juvenile Justice Board, the AFR 1945, and the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme.
Paralegal volunteer Agam Tadeng presented video clips of the National Legal Services Authority of India and distributed legal brochures.
