LONGDING, Jan 4: Deputy Commissioner VK Singh Mallik has directed the DMO to terminate a BCM of the CHC here, Longngan Ngandam, with immediate effect.
Coming down heavily on regular absenteeism among of BCMs, he said that erring officers have to face the music.
He said this during a meeting of the District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI), conducted by the Longding District Health Society at the DC’s conference hall here on Thursday.
he asked the district’s HoDs to assist the health department in sensitizing people on the national flagship programmes like MRVC and IMI.
He urged the DDSE and the CDPO to provide head count data of school-going children and drop-out children.
He requested the circle officers of the district to hold block level advocacy meetings with PRI members, church leaders, and local leaders to motivate the parents to achieve 100 per cent target in the fourth round of the IMI and the MRVC.
He also announced to give Rs 1000 as incentive to ASHAs if they achieve 100 per cent target of immunization.
DMO Dr Emmo Basar expressed concern over the submission of inaccurate statistics from the block level, due to which the required target could not be achieved.
