AALO, 17 Mar: Lower Divisional Clerk Yumken Jilen met with a fatal road accident near Pasighat in East Siang district and succumbed to multiple injuries on Wednesday.
He is survived by three children.
Jilen was working at the West Siang deputy commissioner’s office and was attached to the IPR department for several years.
A handicapped official, Jilen used to attended office with the help of walking sticks and used a paid driver to attend office. He was a gentle human being, who set an example on how to face adversities in life for many a handicapped people.
He was first appointed as peon, promoted to LDC and was on the verge of getting promoted to the post of UDC and possessed one of the best handwritings among the ministerial staffs of the DC’s office. Jilen also ran a school at Tirbin which caters to the educational needs of children from Liromoba, Tirbin and adjoining places.
The officers and officials of the DC’s office here in Aalo mourned the sudden demise of Jilen and observed two minutes silence. (DIPRO)
