AALO, 19 Mar: Three-day games and sports competitions under the Khelo India initiative started at the government higher secondary school general ground here in West Siang district on 18 March.
Six blocks of West Siang are taking part in the three-day events. The games and sports under Khelo India are being organized by District Sports Officer Tumto Loye, with the help of various sports federations.
Henkir Lollen, who was the chief guest of the inaugural function, exhorted the young participants to take keen part in games and sports. “Many sportspersons have sustained themselves and are employed in government jobs today,” he said. (DIPRO)
