ITANAGAR, 2 Jun: Several frontline workers of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC), such as multitask workers and drivers informed that their salaries have been delayed.
This was informed to IMC Mayor Tame Phassang when he interacted with the workers during a ground assessment of the ongoing intensified Covid testing and vaccination underway in the Itanagar capital region.
Interacting with the frontline workers of the IMC, especially those who collect garbage from different wards, the mayor was informed that the workers have not received their salaries on time and are facing difficulties in the pandemic.
Phassang has assured to look into the matter immediately and extend all possible help to the workers.
The mayor also visited various testing and vaccination centres in the ICR to take stock of the situation and appreciated the Health department’s teams for their dedication and selfless service to the state.
Interacting with the people in vaccination centres, Phassang urged them to maintain the SOPs and cooperate with the health department’s teams for the successful completion of the process.
“Testing, tracing and vaccination are some of the important steps through which we can stop the virus from spreading further,” said Phassang.
Meanwhile, acknowledging the hardship being faced by the members of the All Capital Complex Commercial Transport Welfare Association, Phassang contributed essential commodities to the family members of the association.
