TAWANG, 29 Oct: The Arunachal Pradesh Rajya Sainik Board (RSB) and the Sainik Welfare Organization conducted an outreach programme for ex-servicemen (ESM) and veer naris here on Friday.
Addressing the participants, Lt Col TC Tayum from the RSB apprised them of the issues related to ex-servicemen and their pension benefits. He informed them about the recent formation of the RSB in the state and its branches in the districts for the ESM to avail benefits.
Ex-Servicemen Association of Tawang president Thupten Wangdi expressed gratitude to the state government for forming the RSB and the Sainik Welfare Organization.
Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok said that earlier, the zilla sainik boards were looked after by the DDMOs, “but with the formation of the RSB, now things will change and the zilla sainik boards will be more vibrant.”
The DC gave assurance that a separate cell for ESM will be established in the DC office. (DIPRO)
