ITANAGAR, Sep 15: Two weeklong training on finishing school training on “PHOTOSHOP” and Career Guidance Programme on “Profession Skills and Personality Development” were held here at Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Polytechnic under AICTE-NEQIP scheme from September 11 to 15.
The final year students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Travel Tourism Management benefited from the finishing school training whereas the second year students of all the departments participated in the career guidance program. Training on hands-on-practice on graphics, poster and logo designing was imparted during the week long training program on Photoshop by the resource person Madhurjya Roy from Guwahati. Session on layers, spot healing, banner designing and various tools were also conducted.
The career guidance program was aimed at improving professional skills and personality of the students to make them comfortable and confident of facing interviews. The various topics covered during the training program included resume writing, group discussion, facing interview etc. The main objective of the career guidance program was to improve the student’s understanding in various aspects of professional skills and personality development. Experienced and professional trainer Raj Rasool from Third Eye Education Ltd, Guwahati conducted the career guidance program. The students actively participated and expressed satisfaction over the usefulness of the training programs.
