NAHARLAGUN, 22 Mar: The Film & Television Institute (FTI) here, in collaboration with the information & and public relations department, organised an ‘acting for screen’ workshop in the FTI premises from 10 to 22 March.
People from different fields, including students and professionals, attended the workshop.
The focus of the workshop was restricted to basic and advanced techniques of theatre, with rigorous training and exercises. The main attention was towards film acting and techniques in front of the camera.
Three short films and a story developed and scripted by filmmaker and writer Duyu Tabyo and Talo Babing (ex-student of FTI, Itanagar) were also produced.
Faculty members from the Kolkata-based Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI), Prof Sounak Kar (direction), Prof Abdul Rajjak (sound) and Biraja Prasanna Kar (camera) conducted the ‘acting for screen shooting’ part of the workshop, while the theatre workshop was conducted by Goge Bam, Paalin Kabak, Rilli Ngomle, Kendy Zirdo and Tabyo.
The workshop had been inaugurated by SRFTI Dean Prof Ashoke Viswanathan on 10 March. (DIPR)
