RASAM, 29 Apr: The OBT house of one Tapen Panor, of Rasam village in East Siang district, was reduced to ashes in a fire that occurred at around 11:30 am on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) Tatdo Borang, along with DDMO (in-charge) N Tayeng and DLEO Tore Ete rushed to the incident site and sought a detailed report. Borang provided Rs 3,800 on behalf of the district administration as immediate relief to the victim, as per norms.
The DC expressed deep concern over repeated occurrence of fire incidents in and around Pasighat township. He fervently appealed to the citizens to act responsibly. “Everyone should maintain proper electrification and other fire safety measures at home,” he said. (DIPRO)
